Jack and Vinny
Jack and Vinny
They went looking for something they thought they wanted. They found something they never knew they needed.
Jack and Vinny are two Vermont carpenters whose plans take them on a journey toward Las Vegas and Boulder City. Like many adventures, theirs begins with an idea that seems simple enough. But somewhere along the way, the road starts offering them something very different from what they expected.
What follows is a lighthearted journey filled with unexpected encounters, friendship, humor, and the realization that sometimes the best destinations aren't the ones marked on a map.
Jack and Vinny are ordinary guys figuring things out as they go. They don't always have the answers, and they certainly don't always make the smartest decisions. But somewhere between the road they're traveling and the people they meet, they begin to discover that belonging, friendship, and love can be worth far more than any jackpot.
Themes
Jack and Vinny is a story about friendship, belonging, love, humor, and discovering what really matters.
It's a lighter journey than some of Perry's other novels, but underneath the comedy is a simple idea: sometimes we set out looking for one thing and discover that what we really needed was waiting somewhere else.
